VACANCIES

Our lab has vacancy of Two Ph.D. positions in computational biology / bioinformatics/ AI/ML to mine, evaluate and analyse pathways and mechanism after viral infections. Our lab works on Chikungunya and Dengue viruses. We aim for identification of potential small molecule against Dengue and Chikungunya virus by virtual screening and followed by experimental validations. Student will be able to get training in silico docking methods, assisted by molecular dynamics, quantitative structure–activity relationships, in silico evaluation of absorption–distribution–metabolism etc., for screening of the large number of molecules/ compounds for disease management and experimental validation in virus cultures if required.

Our lab has vacancy of Two Ph.D. positions in Structural biology to elucidate role of HMGB1 proteins and interaction with players which contribute to the pathogenesis of various chronic inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, and cancer.  In another project, we aim for the structural understanding of a Pyruvate kinase PKM2 and its interacting partners that underpin tumour development and progression. Outcome may be Structural characterization of crucial biological macro-molecules involved in the diseases and development of inhibitors/therapeutics against these key macromolecules/processes. Student will be able to get training in structural biology viz. X-Ray crystallography, Cryo-electron microscopy and Small angle Scattering.
